Accessibility and special needs
Constitution Hill is accessible to people with disabilities, and there are elevators and wheelchair ramps in place in most of the museums and exhibitions.
Disabled visitors are welcome to bring personal care assistants with them, who will be permitted free entry to the precinct. At present, we encourage disabled visitors to be accompanied by assistants as parts of the precinct are still under construction and, in places, are difficult to negotiate unaided. As soon as construction is completed, wheelchair accessibility on the precinct will improve.
There are designated disabled parking bays in the underground parking and in the outdoor parking areas on Hospital (Queen) Street and on Kotze Street.
Visitors requiring assistance may also be dropped off and picked up at the entrance to the Visitor Centre on Constitution Square.
