#BuyGautengSpendLocal
Tribal Monkey, a proudly South African accessories brand, continues to honour African creativity through its striking, modern beadwork. Each piece—whether a bag, bracelet, choker, pair of earrings, keyring or decorative item—is handmade by local artisans, blending traditional techniques with contemporary design. The result is a collection that is vibrant, meaningful, and rooted in deep respect for African artistry.
In partnership with Dear Magic, Tribal Monkey also creates spaces where creativity and cultural expression can thrive. Their collaborative beading workshops are more than just craft sessions—they are intentional gatherings that highlight innate talent, encourage shared learning, and foster cultural intimacy. Participants are invited to engage with beadwork not only as a skill, but as a grounding practice that connects them to heritage, community, and self.
Dear Magic, an Atelier committed to creative education and access, is the force behind Mahala Thuto, a learning and facilitation centre dedicated to nurturing artistic knowledge. Together, Dear Magic and Tribal Monkey introduce participants to the many faces and possibilities of beadwork, inviting them into a world of colour, craft, and cultural meaning.
