Zanele Muholi’s Brave Beauties Exhibition: Stories of Identity, Visibility & Courage
World-renowned visual activist and photographer Prof. Zanele Muholi presents Brave Beauties: Stories of Identity, Visibility & Courage, launched on 20 August 2026 and will run until 24 September 2026 at Women’s Jail, Constitution Hill, Johannesburg.
Curated by Africa’s most decorated transgender voice, Yaya Mavundla, herself a participant in the Brave Beauties series. Brave Beauties is an ongoing and empowering photographic essay by acclaimed South African visual activist Prof. Sir Zanele Muholi, documenting and celebrating transgender women and gender-nonconforming individuals in South Africa since 2014. The exhibition marks a historic moment: for the first time, the project is presented as a dedicated solo exhibition, allowing Muholi’s powerful visual archive of Black LGBTQIA+ lives to be experienced.

We recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting a Constitutional Literacy Educators Workshop at Constitution Hill, welcoming passionate educators from the Gauteng West District in partnership with We The People SA.
This "Train the Trainer" initiative is designed to equip teachers with essential tools, resources, and insights into our Constitutional and Human Rights—empowering them to bring these critical values into the classroom every single day.

Strategic Reflection: Shaping the Future of ConHill
Constitution Hill, in partnership with the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), recently hosted a staff Town Hall to bring the entire ConHill team together for strategic reflections, future planning, and collaborative dialogue.
The session focused on identifying our challenges, refining our operational goals, and exploring innovative ways to continuously enhance our visitor offerings, client experiences, and workplace culture.
