As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the way we live, work, and understand the world, an essential question emerges: How do we ensure that humanity remains at the centre of progress?
To mark World Philosophy Day 2025, New Acropolis South Africa, in collaboration with Constitution Hill and endorsed by UNESCO South Africa, will host a public philosophical panel discussion titled “The Pyramid of Society in the Age of AI.”
The event takes place on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at Constitution Hill, with a programme designed to invite audiences into meaningful conversations, hands-on exploration, and philosophical reflection.
Exploring the Human Foundations of Society
Drawing on Plato’s Republic, the conversation reimagines society as a living pyramid supported by four essential pillars — Art, Science, Spirituality, and Politics — all guided and harmonised by Philosophy.
The dialogue will explore how these pillars can uphold balance, ethics, and shared meaning in an era shaped by algorithms, automation, and rapid technological change.
Guy Hazon
Philosophers in Dialogue
The panel will feature Acropolitan philosophers from New Acropolis South Africa, each reflecting on how their domain contributes to a humane and just society:
Guy Hazon – Leadership & Philosophy
Riaana Peck – Spirituality & Inner Development
Kohulan Shantikumar – Politics & Civic Responsibility
Jaron David – Art & Aesthetics
Laven Naidoo – Science & Innovation
Following the discussion, attendees will be invited to an interactive Q&A and networking session to further unpack the ideas presented.
